6. Our lawful bases for processing
Under UK data protection law, we must have a lawful basis for processing your personal information.
Depending on the circumstances, we rely on:
Contract
Where you book or purchase a service from us, we process information that is necessary to arrange and provide that service.
Legitimate interests
We may process information where it is necessary for our legitimate business interests, including responding to enquiries, managing our business, maintaining security and improving our services, provided that these interests do not override your rights.
Legal obligation
We may process information where necessary to comply with a legal or regulatory obligation.
Consent
We rely on your consent where required, including for certain marketing communications and non-essential cookies and similar technologies.
You may withdraw consent at any time.
ICO guidance confirms that the lawful basis depends on the particular processing activity, and consent may be required under PECR for certain marketing and tracking activities.
7. Booking through Acuity Scheduling
Appointments are booked through Acuity Scheduling, a third-party scheduling service.
When you book a session, information such as your name, email address, appointment details and any information you choose to provide through the booking form may be processed by Acuity on our behalf.
Acuity may process personal information in jurisdictions outside the UK. We will use appropriate safeguards for international transfers where required by UK data protection law.
You should also review Acuity’s own privacy information when using its booking service.
Important: If you have added specific questions to your Acuity booking form, those questions should also be reviewed to make sure they do not unnecessarily collect sensitive personal information.
8. Payments through Stripe
Payments are processed using Stripe.
Stripe may process personal information as both a data controller and, depending on the circumstances, a data processor or service provider. Stripe’s current UK privacy policy explains its handling of personal data and international transfers.
We do not normally store complete payment card details ourselves.
Stripe may transfer personal information internationally where necessary to provide its services and uses appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
9. Google Analytics and cookies
Our website uses Google Analytics to help us understand how visitors use our website.
Google Analytics may use cookies and similar technologies to collect information about website usage.
Because these are not generally strictly necessary for the operation of the website, we will obtain the required consent before setting them.
You can accept or reject non-essential cookies through our cookie consent mechanism and change your preferences at any time through Cookie Settings.
The ICO’s current guidance requires organisations to obtain valid consent before using non-essential storage and access technologies, including many analytics technologies. Consent must involve a clear positive action and must not simply be assumed from continued use of the website.
Google also provides mechanisms for websites to communicate visitors’ consent choices to Google Analytics.
For more information, please see our Cookie Policy.

For example, relevant providers may rely on adequacy arrangements, the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, UK International Data Transfer Agreements/Addenda or other lawful transfer mechanisms, depending on the circumstances.
